Halston's gowns were worn to major social events including meetings with dignitaries and heads of state. He loved designing in chiffons, a regular staple to his collection, as they are so diaphenous making for a grand entrance. His silk velvets are the last world in glamour. The velvet halter and fox trimmed cape he designed for me to wear to the Martha Graham Legion of Honor event in Paris 1984.
